Kirsten Dunst's fairytale plaited updo for Cannes

Kirsten Dunst is doing Cannes Film Festival again this year, this time promoting her new film On The Road which she stars in with Snow White/Bella Swan/Kristen Stewart.

They had their mandatory photo call this morning where Kirsten looked lovely - we're starting to forget that phase she had where she went a bit mental after she broke up with Johnny Borrell and was in rehab and everything and never showered. Now she's all pretty comeback-kid, serious actress who mostly stays out of the spotlight except for when it's time for nice exclusive red carpet events like Cannes.

Kristen showed off a beautiful fairytale-esque hairstyle crafted from plaits and topped with a floral D&G headband (she loves a headpiece), with the loose strands framing her face and helping the style to toe the line perfectly between casual and formal. Let's look at the back:

Unusually for an updo, the hair was parted down the back: from this we've deduced that Kirsten's hair was put into two plaited pigtails, which were then pinned across the forefront of her head and pinned into coils here and there at the back.
