Who knew Zooey Deschanel's hair at last night's Emmy Awards would be so polarizing? It's not like she had anything that daring going on. But my friends on Twitter were all abuzz expressing either extreme love or hatred of the look. Where do you stand?

For her stint as an award presenter, Zooey wore her hair in a very poofy, retro half-up 'do. Here are some pics from various angles.

I don't really get why some people hated this so much. I mean, yeah, it's cheeky and that's a LOT of hair tumbling down her back, but the look fits Zooey's offbeat personality and her vintage style. I would never wear it, but I think it suits her fine.
