There's a subcategory of headband that's been popping up on the red carpet (most recently last night on Busy Phillips): The mini-hat/headband, as in a band with a piece attached that looks like it could be a tiny little cap...
Other examples: This one I spotted on Eva Mendes and this one on Pink.
